Mourvèdre also known as Monastrell or Mataro is a prominent component of GSM. It has a dark, rich colour with notes of pepper earthy forest fruits, licorice and sarsaparilla. A velvety mouth feel is backed by soft, fruity ripe tannins and aged oak.

The backberried fruit gains momentum as it travels down to reveal fine tannins followed by a lingering structured finish.

This wine pairs well with roast meats, truffle dishes, hearty casseroles and blue cheese.
